Install steps

Switch to Desktop Mode
Use Desktop Mode so you can download, inspect, and mark the Linux AppImage as executable before launching.

Download the Linux AppImage
Open GitHub Releases and choose the current Linux x86_64 AppImage route. Avoid unverified file names.

Make the AppImage executable
Enable executable permission before running it.

Launch in Desktop Mode
Start the app once from Desktop Mode and select a supported game file.

Add it to Steam
Add the AppImage as a non-Steam game if you want to launch it from Gaming Mode. Treat this as Steam Deck workflow guidance.

Common Steam Deck issues
Invalid disc image
Dusklight cannot use the selected game file.
